Mileage Contest Rules
The SHC mileage contest starts at the April meeting and ends at the November meeting.

Five-dollar buy in.

Must sign up for one category.
Participation Categories:
-
Single (1 up) Male Rider
-
Single (1 up) Female Rider
-
Couple (2 up) - excludes Males & Females participating as Single (1 up) Riders
***Honor System: Only miles achieved as a couple are to be reported***

Chapter Average – defined below
The Chapter Average category applies to all eligible participants and is calculated as:
Total miles of eligible participants / number of eligible participants = average miles per eligible participant. Example: 250,000 miles / 34 participants = 7353 average miles per participant
The rider (single or couple) whose mileage is closest (low or high) to the chapter average will be the winner. If a participant enters the contest but does not provide the ending mileage, their mileage will be recorded as "0" (zero) when calculating the chapter average.
Eligibility Requirement for Participation:
Submit YOUR Harley Davidson Odometer Mileage (No rentals or loaners) using one of the two options below.
Option 1:

Take a picture of your H-D odometer ALONG with your current SHC Membership Card(s) displayed in plain view. (Solo rider one card. Couple both of your membership cards.) If you sell or purchase a bike during the course of the contest, take a photo of the additional start/end miles of the bike(s) so all of your miles count.

Bring your photo to the April and November SHC meeting.

Send Photos via text message or Facebook message to the Activity Officer.

Option 2:

Bring your Harley Davidson to a SHC meeting to have the starting and ending mileage recorded by the SHC's Activity Officer.
Prizes:

Prize(s) to be determined and will be awarded at the Winter Party.

One (1) top Male rider, One (1) top Female rider, One (1) top Couple, One (1) Chapter Average

Top rider(s) will be named in the “I Tried to Catch _______” mileage contest for the following year and will be recognized on the SHC website with a photo and mileage you attained that year. Your participation in the contest is your consent to these terms and conditions.
